Interscholastic Sports, Brian Scott, Athletic Director

"Never let your head hang down. Never give up and sit down and grieve. Find another way."  ~Satchel Paige~

Baseball

Boys lost to Caravel 12-3, Wilmington Christian 10-3 and Red Lion Christian Academy 9-2.  Despite the losses the young boys’ team continues to improve at the plate.  We are having good at bats, making contact and getting runners on base.  The 8th graders continue to provide positive leadership for the team.

The team is looking forward to their remaining games against Sanford, Newark Charter and Pike Creek Christian.

Boys' Lacrosse

The boys’ lacrosse team is playing extremely well. They recently defeated Red Lion Christian Academy 12-4 and Caravel 9-1.

The boys also participated the Upland Day School Lacrosse Tournament and won their opening game against Westtown 9-2, but lost the next two games against a much older and physical team from Upland Country Day (3 -1) with no rest following their first game, and a close game (6-5) on a last minute goal at the end of the afternoon to Valley School of Ligonier.

Girls' Lacrosse

The girls’ lacrosse team is playing like a seasoned group.  They recently traveled to Sanford and Caravel winning 7-3 and 11-10.  The girls controlled the game against Sanford and came from behind to defeat Caravel for the second time this season.

Not bad for a first year team!

Girls' Soccer

Last week the girls' soccer team defeated Sanford 2-0, and then followed that with a 3-0 win against Ursuline Academy.  This week the team played their first game on an artificial turf field at Red Lion Christian Academy and made the necessary adjustments to secure a 4-0 victory.

The team continues to make good progress combining a very stingy defense to an increasingly confident offense.  They have a big rematch today at home against MOT Charter at 3:45.  A JV game will follow.
