Second Grade Studies Colonial America

Second grade took a field trip to historic Odessa, Delaware to learn
about colonial living.  Here they learn about tanning hides.
Second grade visited Wilson's Store in historic Odessa, Delaware.
Students were separated into societal groups such as farmers,
merchants, and affluent families.  Students then 'purchased' items
that would have been appropriate for that particular group.
Back in the classroom, the second grade recreated a colonial
home and role played some aspects of colonial life.
